  • How is Battle Cards Savage Heroes different from Deck Advantures Wild Arena?

Some of our players have been asking us this question where other asked us to explain why the new features were not just added to Deck Adventures with a DLC. We would like to use this opportunity to explain our reasons for taking this route.

Battle Cards Savage Heroes contains 62 new cards, which is basically the same amount of cards that are present in the Deck Adventures game. Deck Adventures was never designed for the addition of new content, such as additional campaign maps and/or cards. This made it technically close to impossible, but even if we put in the effort to support that feature, it would have a major impact on the balance of the game. All we could have done was to add more cards that would be even stronger, that would be harder to level, that would require more time to grind, etcetera etcetera. If would also ruin most of the work all our players have already put into the game. By making this a new game people are free to decide whether they want to stay with Deck Adventures, move to Battle Cards or compete on both fronts.

The same goes for the two new traits that we added. They provide a whole new set of tactical possibilities for players. We’re not going to spill the beans here, but they add a lot to the game. Introducing them into Deck Adventures would have completely destroyed the balance of that game. If you want to start all over, please download our new game and enjoy it. If you want to continue with Deck Adventures, please do so. We are not forcing anything upon you.

Another big thing is the way that players can earn new cards and grind battlegrounds for the ones they have unlocked. This system has had a significant overhaul. You are no longer tight to specific battlegrounds to grind for a certain creature card, but any creatures up to the battleground you are playing will be present in your card pack rewards. And the content of the packs also changed, making it easier to level creatures fast. This change also does not go well with the way we balanced things in Deck Adventures.

The new ‘Endurance Mode’ is one that we specifically designed for Battle Cards. It allows for more options to obtain gold to upgrade your creatures and it’s a fun and challenging game concept that we really hope you like.
For the players that want to stick with Deck Adventures, we are looking into bringing Endurance mode to that game as well and it’s looking good. No ETA yet, but it’s coming.

We hope you understand our choices and you continue to support us. Deck Adventures has built a great community and we hope to see you all in Battle Cards Savage Heroes.
